CLOAK/1.13ii

And don't be misled by the salesmen of thought. They would have you believe that vision is thought—vision is not thought, its loss takes nothing from thought! Vision and thought—two different things, two separate pleasure centers. Language—something else again, something which is not thought either. These discoveries have been made but are being kept from us by experts.
But still the feeling of something not working, still at the end of each line nothing from nothing. Seen—something not worth representing rendered unrecognizably. Felt—the Been-Done response deadening.
So here is a bad patch to be passed through, one for gnawing fingers unattractively. Focus now: the object is to keep from stopping, the outcome is unimportant. Remember that procrastination is doubt and doubt is sin. The lines are underneath the surface, it is a question of apprehending them in time, while the link from effect to cause is still fresh enough to follow. There is, within you, not nothing, not not enough, but multitudes, buried—look underneath all those dirty clothes heaps of disappointed pride, they're already starting to shift, like Birnam Wood.
